About Us

CLUB UNIVERSAL began its journey in 2004 and obtained registration in 2006 under the Indian Societies Registration Act, 1860, from the
Registrar of Firms and Societies, Assam. The organization was founded by committed social activists of the Barak Valley with the objective of
improving the socio-economic conditions of downtrodden communities in a historically backward region. Through the sustained efforts of
dedicated volunteers and continuous support from patrons and well-wishers, CLUB UNIVERSAL has emerged as one of the pioneering NGOs in Assam. Initially focused on the Barak Valley region, CLUB UNIVERSAL has expanded its operations to other districts of Assam. Presently, the
organization operates from Silchar and Guwahati and plans to establish operational bases in Darrang, Sonitpur, and Lakhimpur districts.
CLUB UNIVERSAL implements a wide range of social development activities through its own resources and in collaboration with government
and non-government agencies for the holistic development of underprivileged communities.

Our Mission

To facilitate the empowerment of the poor, the marginalized, and especially women who are the poorest among the poor, and to help them break free from the vicious cycle of poverty, injustice, exploitation, and the denial of basic human rights. To encourage people’s participation in their own development in a sustainable manner through the promotion and strengthening of people’s organizations.

Our Vision

Our organization envisions the creation of a society grounded in justice, peace, and equality, irrespective of caste, creed, or gender. We aspire to build a community free from hunger and all forms of exploitation—one where people live in peaceful coexistence with nature. In this society, individuals will love, respect, and communicate with one another, fostering selfreliance and contributing to the collective prosperity of the
whole community.
